The Excalibur Matrix 380 Xtra crossbow with Compact Recurve Technology changes everything! The top-of-the-line compact recurve crossbow from Excalibur is insanely fast (380 fps) and incredibly powerful (112.3 lbs of kinetic energy)—all from a far more compact crossbow than previous models. The Matrix 380 also boasts increased durability, with 60% longer limb life; it’s also lighter, quieter, better balanced, and easier to cock. The self contained Guardian™ Anti-Dry-Fire system, housed in the scope mount, catches the string if the crossbow is triggered without an arrow in place, and the built-in release allows you to easily de-cock with an arrow loaded. Realtree Xtra® camo is applied via the Kolorfusion process for realistic detail and long lasting finish. Arrow speeds obtained using 350 grain arrow and standard Matrix string. Arrow Speed: 380 FPS. 112.3 lbs. kinetic energy. Draw Weight: 260 lbs. Weight: 5.9 lbs. Stock Length: 35.6''. Color: Realtree Xtra®.

Package includes: Tact-Zone Scope (with 30mm rings), R.E.D.S. suppressors; 4-arrow quiver (with bracket); 4 Diablo arrows; four 150 grain field points; and a rope cocking aid.

Excalibur 380 This was my first crossbow, after several months of shopping, comparing and shooting different crossbows I went with the 380, and have not been disappointed. Light and fast. Does make a loud thump when firing, but in the 2 that I took last year, it was over before they could react. Easy to site in and like others have said, be careful shooting at the same bulls eye, very accurate. Takes some getting use to if hunting from a climber, no problem from a ladder stand. Better than expected This bow is great right out of the package. The scope it came with I'd rate an 8/10, and for hunting purposes it's perfect. At 20 yards I wouldn't dare shoot at the same point. Same for 30, 40, and 50. At 60, it's a little safer to do so, but even at that, I've hit an arrow on bcd to back shots. The Matrix is fast as lightning, and it is far more accurate than I could have imagined. It could certainly use a better trigger considering I spent $1250 on it, but I suppose I could always buy an after market trigger. Short of a poor trigger, the bow is fantastic. The Excalibur website and forum is also an amazing and seemingly unending resource. I'd highly recommend one. August 13, 2014
LOUD!!!! Upon opening the box and assembling the bow, I couldn't help notice how cool the bow looked and how good it felt when shouldering it. I loved how compact the bow was, a lot better than other excel bows. With that said that is where all lthe good ended. Now the bad, when shooting it the thing was so loud that my wife could hear me shooting it when she was in the house with all the doors and windows shut. It literally sounded like you took a aluminum baseball bat and smacked a metal power pole as hard as you can. Crazy loud, then I couldn't get the bow to shoot any better than 3-4 inch groups off a rifle rest on a bench. My wicked ridge invader a $489 bow would shoot quarter sized groups. After contacting excel customer service and getting the run around several times, I sold the bow and bought a tenpoint turbo xlt II that shot lights out to 50 yds. DON"T BUY! May 6, 2014
Wow I love it, I cant stop touching it!!!! Wow I love it, I cant stop touching it!!! This is my first crossbow ever and I did a lot of research before I picked one. This one amazed me so much watching other people shoot it. I had to have one of my own and I got the Plano Manta case with it, because the Excalibur soft case sold in Bass Pro Shops was too big and bulky for the crossbow. It has blinding quickness and a lot of power. you really cant go wrong picking this crossbow, even though the Matrix 405 mega is soon to be out. I am a short guy and this crossbow works well for me. If you are not a strong guy, you may wanna buy the Excalibur C2 cocking aid to make it easier for you. January 15, 2014
