I ordered these for my husband for Christmas as they were on his "must have" list. The website was easy to use and delivery was on time. The whole process was seamless. As for the broadheads, they were exactly as advertised and he was thrilled! Thanks, Bass Pro!!

I bought this product bc I have an Excalibur Crossbow, and LOVE it - best thing I've bought for hunting, so I'm hesitant to say anything bad about this broadhead.
After reading reviews, I bought a few packs of these and sighted in my Equinox at 30 years and grouped them every time - even on windy days these are perfect, so A+ for accuracy/stability.
IMO another huge (and unadvertised) benefit with these broadheads is the blades can be removed, and used as a field point for practicing/sighting in your gear.
So I headed to the field and nailed a nice big tasty doe at 20 yards - double lung I'm sure of it. Recovered the arrow (covered in blood) from a rock about the size of a football that the broadhead hit after penetration. This sucker CRACKED the rock in HALF, and still razor sharp and perfect shape, not bent, point in great shape. Freaking amazing, so A++ for toughness.
Problem with blood trail. I found almost NO blood other than a drop here and drop there, and looked for most of the day for the doe - nothing. Coyotes ate good that night.
I love Excalibur, and give this broad head 100% for accuracy, functionality and strength, but doesn't do much for me for actual damage to vitals.
Would love to see Excalibur make this 175 grains with some optional blade insert witdths. Foe example, 1.5 inch blades that create a 3 inch total cut.
As-is, I'm forced to go with another product for deer and use these during Turkey Season.

I bought a new IBEX last fall. This was sighted in and was dead on with 100 grain field tip at 20 yds{ bullseye within a 1/2 inch at 20 yds}. I shot at two deer one went over the back and the other was a kill but the shot was to high. How do these shoot. I know if I use these I must re-sight with a 150 grain field tip. Thanks,
Larry

I have a Vortex and it came with 150 grain field tips and the 150 grain bolt cutter broadheads. My broad heads shoot abot 1.5 inches higher than the field tips. I would use a heavier broadhead because it stabilizes the arrow quicker with the weight forward. The other option would be to use brass inserts in the tips instead of the aliminum ones. The aluminum inserts weigh about 30 grains and the brass ones weigh 110 grains. This will give you more weight forward with your existing broadheads.A:Â
I had the same problem, I switched to Montec G5. The Excaliburs seem to wander around, the G5 shoots like a laser beam every time. I don't know why. I use 100 grain in my bows.A:Â
you need to increase your FOC...either use a heavier insert or broadhead...100g broadheads tend to steer a bolt causing irratic shots...i have an excalibur...i shoot the 150g bolt cutter broadhead...less than a 4 inch group @ 50 yards,,can't beat it..plus all stainless steel..best crossbow broadhead on the market for accuracy1 of 1
