Evolved Harvest® Throw & Gro X-treme w/Radish® Food Plot Seed
Mostly Rye Grass
I planted it using the directions with lime and fertilizer in an area near a spring/creek. 6 weeks later, 90% rye grass. Clover and radish is sprouting, but not much to be found. I will try something else the next time I plant.

I bought this seed and had it for about a week before I planted it. I didn't do a soil test or fertilize and I know the soil was far from perfect. I cleared the leaves and the tree limbs off the ground, through the seed out raked it in a little bit and left it there. It got 1 decent rain in the middle of the week and a little bit more at the very end of the week. When I checked it the next weekend It was mid day and I crept in there and saw 5 does on it, the crop was already about in inch tall. It is good seed especially for the money.

I began working on my plot in June. It is in the middle of the woods, no way to get much back there other than hand tools. Started by cutting trees down and ring cutting bigger ones leaving a nice big mature oak in the middle of a 20yds by 30yds area. Once I removed the cut trees I sprayed round up on all small saplings. Went back a week later and raked the entire area by hand to the dirt. I fertizled with 250 lbs of pellet lime and 100 lbs of 12-12-12. I then used this Throw and Gro, I used it because it was on sale and was a mix. By the way it was put down the second week of August. Missouri hadn't seen rain in months, it was dry. Anyway I sprinkled in some of the seed booster before I threw the seeds down. It didn't rain for a week. When it did, it was just a light rain. The next rain was a week later and it was the huricanne rain the dropped inches of rain.
I went down last week, first time since I planted, I was just hoping something was growing. I about jumped out of my pants. It was the greenest patch in the middle of the woods. It had grown beyond my expectations. It was alot of rye that was about 6inches deep and I saw the other vegitation growing throughout the plot. Seeing that rifle season is 5 weeks away this plot should be perfect...can't wait! I put my camera up on the area, eager to see the results.
Would I recommend...heck yes. Follow the directions and it works. I didn't test the soil or anything more that what I wrote. I will use this again, I will probably add in some wheat or peas with it next time.
One last thing if you don't know the Ozark area of Missouri it is most rocks...yet it is still growing..i am stoked!!!
