Planted this seed on a controlled burn area this spring. I raked and dragged the area to clear any left over debris. Spread the seed evenly and even packed it in by walking over the 20 by 35 yd area.. Did all of this before a decent, but not soaking rain, and...wait for it...nothing. I am sure it would work if I used equipment, but the package said you didn't need it...which is good as I don't have it.
I'd try other easy-to-plant brands as a suggestion.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by sdfarmer great
We had a ditch line dug through a section of woods, and the ground left around the ditch was bare, so I decided to try this product there. I waited about three days and we had drizzling rain so I decided to do it then. I walked around broadcasting it with my hands on both sides of the ditch. The turn out was great. I did no fertilizer or anything. I had a beautiful green plot. It was over a foot tall and the deer loved it. It survived a MS winter.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by supremeweasel67 Nice for deep woods hunters
This is nice for putting in a little honey hole deep in the woods.
does not require heavy equipment prior to planting. However, a little land prep prior to planting will provide better results. Lime and Fertilizer are important. Does better with direct sunlight.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Coz8 Good if you plant it right
This product works great. It can withstand the heat and the cold weather conditions. I planted the seed in two different plots. The first plot didn't do very well. Although the second plot worked great, since I fertilized it. The second plot reached 18 inches. So a good product, but great with some fertilizer.

It may with proper care and luck, but I don't think it will. I followed directions and even went beyond what was required. Mine didn't even come in. I would not expect great results.Answers
