Evolved Habitats Deer Cane Attractant - Concentrate
I tried this about 5 years ago. Had very poor results that 1st year. Unfortunately, my hunting rights changed that year, and I did not get to hunt the property where I originally set this out. I did get to hunt the place next to it, and I could see the spot where I put it out the first year. The deer were using it every now and then, even after not being refreshed for over a year. Maybe it just took that long to activate. I have seen and used other products that work better. Of course if everyone in the county is using this, then the deer probably won't care about your site. Of course anything is better than nothing.

Hit or Miss!
This product works wells only some of the time. I have put this down in multiple areas where I see plenty of deer. Problem is they seem to only like it in certain areas. Here are my suggestions. If you use this product, make sure you put it next to a trail, and near a water source. For some reason they will not touch this stuff if you put it near a food source. I no longer by any of these minerals specifically designed for deer. I just go to tractor supply and purchase producer's pride general all purpose mineral. It's low magnesium and contains all the same stuff that deer need. Much cheaper too.

I have been using this product for years, as well as trying multiple other commercial attractants and after at least 10 consecutive years of using mineral attractants I can easily say that the Deer Cain concentrate and block give the best results both immediately and over the long term.
After putting it in a month later you can expect a noticeable hole in the ground. I only put this in on an annual basis, so when I return the following year at the same time (around thanksgiving every year) the hole is large, deep and always has fresh tracks at it and beds around it. All other mineral supplements I've used work ok to start, but by next season the site I put it in is always overgrown and clearly not visited by deer, in contrast to the "Deer Cain" which is always trampled and heavily visited. Over the years the deer in my area have created new trails from multiple directions to my "Deer Cain" sites. I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in establishing a consistent mineral supplement site

Put it out and they will come
I put this out at my in-laws b/c I had seen some big bucks there. The bucks loved it and I was able to get several trail cam pictures of them. The continue to paw at it. I will refresh this summer and get more pictures. Awesome product!
