this stuff is great when you mix if with water i put it out infront of a group of about 10 trees that had been borken by a buck rubing on them. and i put this in a line about ten feet long and the deer absolutly destroyed the place i put it in 2 days the deer had made a rut atleat 2 inches deep. i couldnt believe it had only been 2 days. but i checked it again about 2 weeks later and where it was the heaviest the deer made it look like a tractor had went threw there when it was wet it was like a 5 inch deep rut it worked great! but if you are going to mix it with water i would suggest mixing it when you are at the location you are going to put it down. i mixed mine about 20 min before i went to the location and the stuff had clumped up a little in the bottom but a buch of shacking got it out and man it worked amazing

Cheaper than premix
This is much cheaper than the gallon jugs but a little bit of a hassle to mix. You can save some money though if you don't mind and it still works great.

Makes Them Dig
Me and my father use the deer cane offen. Stuff has very easy directions and tells you exactly how to prep, and where to place it. 3 years ago we set 4 sites with the deer cane. Now
in 3 of the 4 sites there are holes about 4 ft wide and 2 feet deep where the deer have continuesly pawd and dug at the stuff.
We have found that this is not a " quick" attractant. Will usually take the deer a few weeks to a few months to find the site and start using it on a regular basis. i can recommend after setting up a site, check if once or twice a month and refresh it after 5 months of use. Doing this will keep the deer coming back for years to come.
This is not a gift item unless u want to buy in large amounts, I.E 10 or more bags

Yes it will still work but you have to do it properly. You have to dig a whole and mix it in with the dirt. But, you will notice that usually only use the mineral when it rains. They like soft ground because it makes for easy digging and licking.
yes. you can mix it with water and yes you can poor it on the ground. BUT with the past 8 years of using the deer cane poweders i have found that if you live in an area where u get plently of rain in the fall the best thing to do is dig a hole jus big enough for the bag, but a few decent size cuts in the bag, and set the bag in the hole with the cuts facing down, and the sprinkle about a cups worth of the powder on the ground. there are several ways to set this stuff up but like i said it depends on the area.
