I mixed this in with my corn before spreading my corn around and it attracted more deer than bare corn alone. My deer traffic increased on my trail camera after using it. The deer still came back for more after the corn was gone.

i have bought at least 7 or 8 bags of this stuff over time and i am still shocked at how much deer tear this stuff up! the bag says mix it with water and pour it on dirt but i just clear a dirt spot and pour the bare powder on the dirt. i have mixed it before but i dont think the deer touched it. within 3 weeks of my application of the powder to bare dirt, the deer had licked, dug, and wallowed a hole in the ground 3.5 to 4.5 inches deep in the ground. they TEAR IT UP! literally. the stuff works great!

Hit or Miss!
This product works wells only some of the time. I have put this down in multiple areas where I see plenty of deer. Problem is they seem to only like it in certain areas. Here are my suggestions. If you use this product, make sure you put it next to a trail, and near a water source. For some reason they will not touch this stuff if you put it near a food source. I no longer by any of these minerals specifically designed for deer. I just go to tractor supply and purchase producer's pride general all purpose mineral. It's low magnesium and contains all the same stuff that deer need. Much cheaper too.

Yes it will still work but you have to do it properly. You have to dig a whole and mix it in with the dirt. But, you will notice that usually only use the mineral when it rains. They like soft ground because it makes for easy digging and licking.
yes. you can mix it with water and yes you can poor it on the ground. BUT with the past 8 years of using the deer cane poweders i have found that if you live in an area where u get plently of rain in the fall the best thing to do is dig a hole jus big enough for the bag, but a few decent size cuts in the bag, and set the bag in the hole with the cuts facing down, and the sprinkle about a cups worth of the powder on the ground. there are several ways to set this stuff up but like i said it depends on the area.
