Rated 5 out of 5 by Trey496HD Great Mid-Level Gripper
Like others, was hesitant about getting these over the Boga Grips, have used both, and the Gorilla Gripper is just as good as the Boga. Yes the scale is not EXACT, but when you need to land that fish with teeth, these will hold up and are MUCH less expensive than the Boga's. I have used these on Snook, Jack Cravelle and Barracuda and each time... NO SLIP, Easy landing. The 6" accessory float will keep these floating, tried and trusted. Carry-On.

I was a little hesitant but I purchased the Gorilla Gripper instead of the Boga Grip and I’m glad I did. I’m not sure if the scale is accurate but I did not buy it for the scale, just for handling large striper. I have used them for 5 trips so far and they handled MANY large fish and have worked flawlessly. Great purchase and saved me some money!

We used the Gorilla Grippers while pier finshing in NC. Made handleing the fish easy and being able to get the weight just befor releasing.

Here is what the scale came up with. I weighed hand weights in a plastic bag. I am returning this
Weight in bag is on the left, weight register with GG is on the right.
1# = 0#
2# = 0#
3# = 1#
4# = 2.5#
5# = 3#
6# = 4#
7# = 5.5#
8# = 6.5#
9 # = 8#
10# = 9
11# = 10#
12# = 11#
13# = 12.5#
14# = 13.5#
15# = 15#
16# = 16#
17# = 17#
So unless you only catching fish that are over 15# this scale is no good.
