Rated 5 out of 5 by Flat Foot Saved my Back!!!!! I love my flat foot!!! Flat Foot has made it easier to fish all day long. The first time I used my Flat Foot made such a difference in my fishing, that I told my father and my tournament partner; they both installed them. Installation was easy, took around an hour and a half, and was worth every minute. Before Flat Foot, I would have to stretch my back at least twice an hour, and by the end of the day, I still could barely straighten up to walk to the truck. My back has not gone out once since I installed it, I won't own another boat with out it. August 22, 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I will rate this product two times. One is five stars for performance. It really saves you back and leg fatigue. The second rating is for instalation and it gets ONE star. If you have 2013 Pro Team 175 TXW there is a lot of modifications you will have to make once you cut the hole in the deck. You will lose the two 7 1/2 ft rod storage tubes in the upper center and you will have to cut a 2x8 pie shaped wedge out of the side walls of the bottom long rod storage compartment. You will still be able to use this part for long rods but the upper tube are only good for your grandchildren's 4ft Snoopy rod now. BE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT IS UNDER YOUR DECK BEFORE YOU CUT. It's worth the extra work. August 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not if you have a Ranger I bought this because I've had four back fusions and keeping my foot up on the pedal really cut down on how long I can stay in the boat. However when I read the reviews everyone said took about a hour and a half, they didn't have a Ranger when I cut out the template I found solid foam. The instructions say you may have remove some foam I have been removing foam for two days. Ranger fills every void even when I uncovered the drain pipe it is completely surrounded with foam there is no path next to it to lay the drain. I've been trying to clear a path under the front storage box to the floor drain but, it's not possible. so I am going to have to go through the box and let it drain into the box and go out the drain inside it. I still have to foam it all back in after I have the drain set. Think twice about this if you own a Ranger and if you still want it pay someone to install it and be prepared for a good size bill, they may quote about 200 but when they have to deal with all the foam I'm sure it will be much more. I think I'll like after I'm done but I'm not sure it will be worth the hurt it's put on me to install it. I will never trust another review on install time again either. May 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing difference! If I had to give mine up I might quit fishing?!!! Best money spent and best upgrade I have ever done to my boat! April 17, 2013

A:
Hole cut size for the Minn Kota model is 11 1/4 x 16 3/4 inches. Outside dimensions are 13 1/8 wide x 18 1/4 long x 4 inches deep. Inside floor dimensions are 11 x 12 inches.
Hole cut size for the MotorGuide model is 9 3/4 x 16 3/4 inches. Outside dimensions are 11 1/2 wide x 18 1/4 long x 4 inches deep. Inside floor dimensions are 9 1/2 x 12 inches.
Therefore, they will not work with each other. If you purchase a Minn Kota trolling motor you will need to get the Minn Kota Recessed Tray. Thank you!

If it screws down will it leak? Also my Minn Kota pedal is 9" wide. Why so much extra width for that model? Can't I use the Motorguide model and save the deck space?

This is recessed into the deck and has a drain hole which drains into the hull, otherwise it would hold water and potentially damage the electrical components in the foot pedal...use the recommended size.

This is made fishing boat with a deck. This comes with a drain tube to remove splash and rain water away form the foot pedal. The boats bilge system will remove the water from the the boat. The pedal will mount in with stainless hardware. As long as the pedal will fit in the housing with out restricting the movement or the cable you will be able to use the other model.

I have an '08 Tracker 175 TXW. The rod locker is the middle front compartment. Will installing this interfere with my ability to store longer rods (7'6" or 7') in this center compartment?

A:
YES, I just finished installing this in my 2013 Pro Team 175 TXW and there are some modifications you will have to make once you cut the hole in your deck. You will lose the two upper 7.5ft rod storage tubes in the center and you will have to cut a 2x8 pie shaped wedge in each side of the long rod storage compartment on the bottom to get the tray to fit down in the deck. Once you do that it will fit just fine and look good on top after you screw it down. You can still use the bottom compartment for long rods but the two 7.5 tubes are now used for 4ft Snoopy rods.

more specifically, it is a 16 ft dura craft boat, and it starts a slight v hull rise in the front where the foot controll sits, making it impossible for the foot controll to keep from moving all over the boat floor.
Thanks,
Pat
