Estaz Grande is slightly wider than standard Estaz chenille, and is especially popular with bass, salmon, steelhead and saltwater fly tiers. Extra-fuzzy and the flashiest chenille on the market, Estaz Grande is made from curly strands of opalescent Mylar. Great way to add bulk and profile to your flies without adding extra weight. this chenille makes my saltwater flies look very realistic. i use the rootbeer color for crab and shrimp patterns. also minnow immitations. use white river fly shop bucktail for tail, then this stuff for the body, then on the front of the hook near the eye, tie in some lead eyes. great product. also very flashy!!
