A tremendous fly pattern from expert fly tier Enrico Puglisi, the Everglades SP was designed to imitate a variety of small baitfish found in the backcountry mangroves. An absolute magnet for snook, redfish and tarpon, the Everglades SP sports natural looking colors, a healthy profile, monofilament weed guard and realistic eyes all tied together on a sharp Gamakatsu® hook.

I fish the flats and backwaters of the Indian River (not quite the Everglades, but close enough) and this is the best fly I have ever used. It resembles one of those mudminnows or killifish that hang out in mangrove roots, and if you strip one of these in front of a snook or red, he'll jump right on it! I've even taken one before on my spinning rod and put a bb split shot right in front of it, and caught three nice snook under a dock. This one and the Enrico pinfish are my go-to flies when casting to reds on a flat.
