  • Lighter rod tip for more efficient casting
  • Smaller-diameter, low-framed Minima guides for less line flutter and increased casting accuracy
  • Rear grip shape for easier control of the rod
  • Increased density of nano-bio-fibers derived from carrots provide extra strength
A new value has sprouted in Carrot Stix's impressive line of innovative rods. A full 5 grams of material has been engineered out of the rod's tip to allow for more efficient casting, and smaller-diameter, low-framed Minima guides produce less line flutter and increase casting accuracy. A new rear grip shape allows for easier control of the rod, and increased density of nano-bio-fibers derived from carrots provide extra strength and increased surface durability. A gorgeous finish in vivid original Carrot Stix orange rounds out the package for an unbeatably versatile tool that's made for your hands.
Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 48 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Avoid Pretty Rod I bought primarily because of the name and warranty. It was my first Carrot Stick. I take care of my rods, no abuse. It broke the first time out fishing on the initial part of a hook set. Very disappointed. It happens right? That's part of owning a rod...But I didn't anticpate was the EXTREMELY poor customer service from E21! I have been calling for several months (no answer and voicemail not accepting new messages# and no response to my emails :# It appears many people online are experiencing the same customer service. I don't typically write reviews, but I hope that this helps someone make the decision to purchase or not purchase this rod. Don't purchase because it has a lifetime warranty. That is useless if they don't give you a return authorization number, which they are not returning emails/phone calls to give the return authorization number out. May 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gold I have a 7' MH and I have caught several fish between the 5 and 6lb range and haven't had a bit of trouble with this rod. Im fixing to buy a 7'6" heavy to do some flipping and pitching, I would recommend this rod to any serious angler. May 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by sounds great :( Not as great as it sounds. The eyes keep breaking off and I'm have to repair them. It doesn't flip as accurate as others, or cast as well either. April 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Rod Worst customer svs I have ever seen. While the rod is great. I have been trying for more than a year to get an answer about this rod. I have called all 3 phone numbers I have found, e-mailed the warranty department with a read response return with all of them not read. I have tried them on the web site they had, has been removed and now kicks you to their facebook page. I have tried this also with no response. I would not recommend this rod. If you can't get in touch with them your not going to be able to get your rod replaced. You also have to pay them 39.95 fee to get your rod replaced. Just buy 1 of the new Bionic Blades with micro guides for the same price, and have a company you know will be there to backup there product. April 9, 2013

Medium or Medium Heavy?

Details:
If I were going to use this rod to throw mostly crankbaits, and possibly the occasional bottom bumping worm/jig. Would it be better to get the 7' Medium or Medium Heavy?

A:
1st off buy a different rod, these are breaking to easy now and you can't ahold of them to honor the warranty. If your throwing DT4, DT6, and rattle traps then I like a medium, but also depends on where you fish, they don't get as big up in Chicago area as they do in TX, or FL.

A:
I would go Medium possibly depending on how big of Crank Baits you are going to throw with it. The medium will have some give on the bite, but enough back bone....then you will have no problems fishing the worm. If you are fishing large cranks...go Medium Heavy

The medium-heavy rod will offer the most versatility and power for crankbaits and bottom bumping worm/jigs.

A:
I have four e21's paired up with Revo SX reels and one with a Revo STX. I have not used a BPS micro guide rod but I can tell you that the combination of e21 and Revo SX is spot on. The Revo's have more drag power than most other baitcasters and I take advantage of that. These rods have performed well when loaded up with 4 and 5 pound smallies and largies and the drag cranked down to get the fish out of the weeds.

I prefer this one. I love how lightweight they are and the sensitivity is great, not to mention they have the power to handle bigger fish. I have landed several fish on this since writing my review, the largest being a 7lb 3oz largemouth. I also caught a Bowfin that went over 5 lbs, which if you have never caught one, is a powerhouse of a fish. This is a great rod.

As long as you get a good rod that balances well with the reel it should be OK. I would stick to bass pro rods, ducketts, and st. croix

Great combination. I have one E21 Wild paired with a Revo STX and another paired with a Revo SX. I have another Revo SX that will be getting paired up with another E21 wild in the very near future.

I was using an E21 Wild Medium action with a Revo STX throwing medium and deep diving CB's for smallies. The rod felt great. Light in the hand and easy throwing all day long.

Quite a bit different. I personally much prefer the Loomis and I've shelved my E21s. For the same basic cost, the loomis has much better feel even without the microguides.
