In 17th century America, coiled beeswax candles became a popular way for parents to monitor the time a gentleman spent courting their daughter. Once the candle was lit, it burned at a measured rate. When the flame met the clip and went out, time was up! Candle by the Hour™ brings back this novel concept as a worry-free way to illuminate and decorate your home. To use, just feed up to 3" of the pliable eco-friendly beeswax coil through the clip and light the wick. The natural beeswax will melt at approximately 20 minutes per inch, providing up to an hour of light at a time.

The Eclipse Home Dècor Candle by the Hour™ 48-Hour Horizontal Candle features a metal base with a copper finish. Refills (3''W x 5.5"H) are available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Candle Flexibility Candle works like advertises, burns 20 minutes for every inch. The problem I have is the candle does not feed as easy as expected, the stiffness of the wax makes it tougher to feed. But over all I am very happy with it. January 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by unique Christmas present I gave the Horizontal Candle to my adult daughter for Christmas, sort of as a funny gift. It turns out that . she LOVES it--she lives in a rather rustic area in the woods and it fits right in. Also, no need to worry about leaving a candle burning---it burns out by its self when it gets to the wick holder. I got the refill also, so she's set for the winter! Quite a unique yet useful item.
