It protects the arrow, but the tabs on the adjustment portion are very poor. I dropped it and all the adjustment tabs broke. I had to tape to hold it in place. It does protect the arrows and fletchings.

Purchased this tote to carry my arrows in to the archery range. The tote is adjustable with a very easy twist design. The cap screws on nice and snug, and have foam on the inside for the top and bottom. Holds my 12 arrows nice and snug. The strap is nice and long and adjustable and slings over the shoulder easily.
