I lave a lake in the back of my house so i fish almost everyday and I LOVE bass fishing. Up until now, I've used rattle traps religiously; but ever since I came back from college, it just hasn't been my bread n butter. I did some researching online and saw that the jig n pig setup was one of the best so i gave the Eakins flip'n jig a shot.
Immediately I noticed that the bass were gravitating to the jig. I hadn't caught bass with my rattle traps at my lake for a year now; but the first time using this bait has broken this dry spell of not catching any bass.
I'd also like to mention that my lake turned over recently so the bass have been dropping like flies; but despite this however, the eakin's jig did what my rattle traps could no longer do... catch bass..
I recommend everyone and anyone who likes bass fishing to keep a few of these in their arsenal, especially the pumpkin green and black n blue colors. They work great!

I love to flip and pitch and this is my weapon of choice. I have never won any money on this little devil but I have caught a ton of bass on it. The design of this jig allows it to perform many tasks very well. First, the unique design of the head allows it to slide through a variety of cover such as grass, wood, rocks, brushpiles, dock pilings and riprap. The boat shaped head also makes it easy to skip and slide under trees and docks. Second, the hook is super sharp and strong. I usually throw it on 20lb test and have never had a problem with the hook bending or breaking. Third, the skirt design gives a nice compact and realistic silhouette. In addition, the colors are very realistic. I only wish they offered it in white also. Finally, Jewel has the best weedguards in the business. They are extremely flexible when a big bass bites and they do a wonderful job in cover. Give them a try as soon as you can.

these jigs have a good hook on them and work well for casting and dragging through scattered weeds or pitching into thicker weed beds
