Been using these snelled hooks in various sizes for over 50 yrs. now. Lots of good hooks around, but these continue to be the old standard. Used them with my daughters bobber fishing, and now with my grand daughters. Being already snelled they sure are handy, and the price is still fair. Get some in various sizes and be ready for what ever comes up. The assorted size pack is a good way to go.

24 assorted sizes of snells for $4.49 in classic Eagle Claw packaging. Where could you go wrong?
Who doesn't remember bait shops being full of bags of Eagle Claw snells on the wall and that classic black and white picture of the smiling guy holding all those fish?
Eagle Claw hooks are still excellent quality and still at amazingly affordable prices.
I bought both assortments and am very happy with them.

these hooks are great for all smaller fish ive caught from freshwater bluegill to saltwater croaker. Just put these on a swivel and a splitshot and a bobber if you want...Caught hundreds of fish likethis. These hooks are so great and durable and almost always hook up with the fish

I have been using eagle claw snelled hooks for 40 years. They have never ever failed me. Plus they have them in a large number of hook styles and sizes. Now a days with my failing eye site. They make the job of putting on a hook effortless. No tying knots for me or my grandson. Two thumbs up, to the worlds finest hook manufacturer Eagle Claw!

Could someone please enlighten me on how you use these? Do you hook onto the loop with fast-locks? I don't think you would tie your main line onto the loop with a knot, when you could just tie directly to a hook. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks....Answers

You can either tie them right to the end of the line or use a snap swivel to attach them. They are handy tied to the end of the line when you have lots of northerns around yet don't want to use a wire leader or respool with heavier line. Better abraasion resistance.
You'll lose a lot less hooks when you use them this way.
On a snap swivel is good when you want to change things up often until you find what's working and or you want to keep your worm rigged or pre-rig a bunch of different worms and switch them on a whim.

I find these are nice to use in an area where snags are frequent. if you tie a swivel to you're main line and cats paw the snell to the swivel you will almost always break off the snell and keep your swivel. I have also used them as replacement hooks for crappie rigs.1 of 1
