Many top pro anglers are splashing the water with their favorite swimbaits rigged on Eagle Claw®'s Lazer Sharp® Swimbait Hooks. For good reason too, these Lazer Sharp Swimbait Hooks feature a weight positioned on the shank and a front keeper barb for easy rigging along with an enhanced swimbait swimming action. Strong wire construction and a very wide gap allow the Lazer Sharp Swimbait Hooks to accommodate the biggest swimbaits, while the Lazer Sharp needlepoint provides real sticking power.

good idea but questionable quality honestly, i can't figure out why it is so hard to find a decent swimbait hook. they're either too small, wrong shape or hard to put on without ripping a huge hole in the plastic. i was excited by the eagle claw design because it comes in a nice 7/0 size, doesn't require threading through the swimbait and has a kink below the eye to clear the swimbait. those are the positives...now, here are the negatives: 1) one of mine did not come with the keeper...it was nowhere to be found, and 2) the point wasn't sharp! i had to work each one on my sharpening stone to straighten out the hook point and get them sticky sharp. Minor issue Love these hooks but if you are using Z-man baits they are almost impossible to get them screwed on. Other than that, great! November 4, 2014
easy to rig swimbaits I'm kinda new to fishing plastic swimbaits and the swimbaits I purchased came with a hook . I purchased a package of Eagle Claw hooks that were on sale . They work fine for awhile but you need to touch up the points from time to time . After a few fish or hitting some obstrucktion dulls them . The price on sale made them a good buy so I will touch them up . If I had not bought them on sale I would give them 3 stars . March 4, 2009
good for the price This is my fourth purchase of these particular hooks. Great for jerk baits. I like the way the jerk bait lines up evenly on the hook. Weight slides around after some use, so thats why it gets a 4 not a 5 star rating. I just gently crimp mine with pliers when it gets loose though. Good hooks for the price!! June 7, 2010

Sizing hook to baits....

Details:
How do you determine which hook size is best for your particular bait. i.e. a 5" Berkley swimshad, versus a 6" Lunker city shaker. And shortly a 3" swimbait. I think what throws me off most is the ewg style hook. Thanks, Rob

I try to have the point of the hook puncture through the back of the swimbait about what would be the beginning of a dorsal fin if it were to have one . I prefer the ewg hook to get better hook set .
