A:
If you are fishing light tackle and using live bait, use the size 6 hook. If you are fishing medium to heavy tackle, use the size 4 hook. I like to open the hook slightly with needle nose pliers to increase my hookups. Great hooks.

A:
I use a 2/0 Eagle Claw double barb hook (LT095JBR-2/0) for most of my soft plastics. It is small but strong and I have caught 9 and 10 pounders on it and a 15# flathead one night. I never the hook failed or gave way when I have lost a fish.
