Rated 5 out of 5 by Big cat fanatic Kahl hooks
I have used Eagle Claw Kahl hooks exclusively for 5 yrs now for live bait catching stripers and big cats. I use the L141G in 5/0, 7/0, and 9/0. Hook up ratios are second to none and 95% of the time the fish are hooked in the corner of the mouth.I highly recommend these hooks for those who like or have the habit of setting the hook versus circle hooks and waiting for it to load up. Fishing for 30 plus lb flathead catfish, time is of the essence on a log jam on setting the hook and steering a flathead out of the logs. I have also found Kahl hooks with their unique bend do not hang upas often on debris as live bait swims freely under cover. The only problem that I have found is obtaining the larger kahls, which to say the least is beyond difficult. The main supplier and only supplier I had carried the L141G in stainless and sold them in bulk has retired and closed his business. Buying 200 7/0 Kahls a year probably 30% - 40% of them obtained by other friend fisherman while not observing them has put a lock and key on the few I have left.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jcifish Have used this hook for many years
This is the only hook I use with live bait for smallmouth bass.. I have tried many hooks over the years, but now rely on this hook exclusively. My favorite is the L144F. Try it, you will like it!!!

I always use kahle hooks for catfishing, and when i seen these eagle claw kahle hooks for like 6.50 for a 50 pack i was shocked, i have been paying 3-5 bucks for a 10 pack of other kahle hooks such as gamakatsus when these are just as good or better. i will definitely be buying more of these in the future, probably within the next 2 weeks.
