I always buy these hooks whenever i need some. Gamakatsu are the best, but i dont wanna spend that kind of money for hooks. But these work just fine. Never had the hook bend or break, so i shall continue to buy them

Rated 5 out of 5 by RAVEN87 Way better hooksets
I have been using these hooks with the Yum 5" Houdini Shad in the 4/0 size and my hooksets have improved by about 9 out of 10 strikes. The lightweight design lets this lure (Houdini Shad) stay on the surface when I want it there and I believe the action improved as well, i'm not sure if a change in hook design could do that, but it seems to "twitch" better. Very sharp and an excellent hook! I have been using Eagle Claw hooks exclusively for about 25 years and in my opinion they cant be beat.

I've used these hooks for as long as I can remember fishing. I always get a good hook in the fish, and hardly ever loose a fish while using them. Extremely sharp and the light wire is great when using lighter line. I wish bass pro carried these in 1/0. On the down side the points usually bend when you get hung up in wood but they are so cheap you can just get a new hook and not have to worry about sharpening them.

Texas Rig all the way. I dont really use the wacky rig that much, but this hook is definitely made for texas rigging. I use it on lizards, worms, and topwater frogs. Use this weedless and you should get good hook sets too.A:

I don't normally fish soft plastics but I'm going to start. I need to know which hook brand is best. Lazer Sharp, Gamakatsu, Mustad, or Youvella.Answers

Gamakatsu by far is the best. They stay sharp and are durable. They might be pricey, but they're worth it.Top 250 Contributor

People have different preferences with hooks. I prefer Gamakatsu. They are sharp and stay sharp, come in a variety of styles and sizes. I like the EWGs for soft plastics.1 of 1
