  • Extra width between point and shank
  • Ideal for baiting with minnows
  • Extra light wire design minimizes excessive bait puncturing
  • Special tempering process allows hooks to flex before breaking
  • Ideal for fishing bush water for crappie
These Eagle Claw Aberdeen Hooks offer extra width between the point and shank which makes them perfect for baiting with minnows. The extra light wire design works to minimize excessive puncturing to help keep minnows alive longer, while Eagle Claw's special tempering process allows their Aberdeen Hooks to flex before breaking making them ideal for fishing bush water for crappie.
Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by gold not very shinny I was not verry impressed with the shinnyness of the gold hooks. They were dull and tarnished looking. All other gold hooks that I have purchased have kept their gold shine for years and these eagle claw hooks came to me from the store with a grey tint to them. June 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hook Bought these to tye bass streamers and poppers. They work great. Made in U.S.A----All my hooks will be Eagle Claw. November 11, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by not as stated the picture made these hooks look perfect --when they arrived -we saw the shank was way to short --and we were right - the fish swallowed the whole hook October 28, 2010

Number 8 is a small hook. You can even get a size 10, which I like for panfish.

I like the Aberdeen hook, size 10. I use Eagle Claw or Mustad. The Aberdeen has a long shank which makes it easier to get out if the fish swallows the hook.

A #6 to #10 hook with a long shank would be best since the long shank is easier to remove from a blue gill's small mouth. Item number 38-455-600-08 on this page would be a good choice.
