I just purchased my second pair.Why? Because the first one has lasted 4 years! I am going to still use them for yard work and such.I scout,hunt,fish,and hike with these shoes.I give them a beating.They did not need break in.They are "really" waterproof ;-).They are extremely stable.The new ones are a bit darker color but I could care less.I love these hikers! Finally a real hiker that lasts and performs.

i've not had these boots but 3 weeks, but so far their wonderful. no break in at all, fit my feet like a sheep skin glove, i was shocked at how comfortable they were. going on a 10 mile hike this weekend , this will tell me more, but so far so good. super light. thanks..

This is the best shoe out there. Very durable yet super comfortable straight out of the box. I wear mine everyday at work or just banging around and these have lasted about 9 months each. I usually wear out a pair of Merrils or Keens in 2 so in the long run great shoe for the money
