The cord broke, first time I used it. I was not even putting any stress on the cord, just pulling it up and down, trying to hook my lure.

I did use it on my last fishing tournment. My lures got stuck. It really did an excellent job in retriving.

I have only used it once but it has already paid for itself. I was hung up too deep to reach with the rod tip so I used this. The crankbait would not bump free but I did manage to get the trebles in the chain and yank it out. You have to be directly over top of the bait to get the chain entangled and it is not easy to do but if you can it works well. I think a little different design would work better.

Product works well but they seem to break too easily. The line often breaks as well as the spool comes apart. A few minor improvements would make this a great product

Most lure retreivers I've seen only work when you can get directly above the stuck lure. Will this one work for shore fishermen?Answers
A:Â
Yes you can use it from shore. Hold the line tight and the retriever slides down your fishing line. Bounce the retriever until it's chain grabs the hooks on your lure and bring it in.A:Â
i have used it from the shore... it might just be me not knowing how to use it, but when i did use it from the shore, it couldnt even reach the lure, and its not because my lure was stuck too far... the retriever got stuck in the rocks itself, so i lost both lure and retrieverA:Â
I have not tried it from shore. You pretty much need to be almost directly above the stuck lure for it to be effective. If you have this type of condition from shore, it will work good. From the boat, in the wind or where there is water current, this is not as effective.A:Â
I wouldnt think it would do very well for you you wouldnt be able to knock it loose and it probaly wouldnt cattch into the hooksA:Â
