The cord needs to be re-secured. It came undone on me today and I lost the lure and retriever.
It works good but DO NOT rely on the factory cord attacment knot!

I have saved several hundred Crankbait lures with this Lure Retriever. I have only lost 2 that I was unable to get out of a trotline. It is a must that has definitely paid for itself several times over!!!

Most lure retreivers I've seen only work when you can get directly above the stuck lure. Will this one work for shore fishermen?Answers
A:Â
Yes you can use it from shore. Hold the line tight and the retriever slides down your fishing line. Bounce the retriever until it's chain grabs the hooks on your lure and bring it in.A:Â
i have used it from the shore... it might just be me not knowing how to use it, but when i did use it from the shore, it couldnt even reach the lure, and its not because my lure was stuck too far... the retriever got stuck in the rocks itself, so i lost both lure and retrieverA:Â
I have not tried it from shore. You pretty much need to be almost directly above the stuck lure for it to be effective. If you have this type of condition from shore, it will work good. From the boat, in the wind or where there is water current, this is not as effective.A:Â
I wouldnt think it would do very well for you you wouldnt be able to knock it loose and it probaly wouldnt cattch into the hooksA:Â
yes it will your welcome whoever that is!!!!!!1 of 1
