I ordered three sets of DuraSafe E-Lock/Swivel Lock Combos and one of the three Swivel locks is defective with no threads in the lock so it is not usable. Ordered specifically so I could lock everything on an upcoming fishing trip.
When 33% of your product is defective you have a quality issue. The items that worked appear to be good to go although they are a bit hard to tighten down solid.
Also be very careful that you order the correct size it is not clear which one to order.

For all the money we spend on electronics this is money well spent protecting that equipment. While at a fishing tournament, I recently had a friend "remove" my Humminbird 1198 and 1158 from my ram mounts in my boat. I noticed them missing when I started to leave, I had thought someone had stolen my electronics. I was fit to be tied but he eventually let me in on his little joke. He said to let that be a lesson to me for leaving that equipment out in the open. With the swivel mount combo, I can lock my fishfinders up and not worry about them. It also saves wear and tear on the plugs and sockets. I was always afaid I would eventually break a pin by removing and reconnecting each time. They are very easy to install. Again I say money well spent.

should keep a thief from just walking up and unscrewing the mounts and walking off with your side finder.

I use this lock for the fishfinder on the bow. I feel more secure with the fishfinder left on the boat while docked on the bank. Makes it more dificult to remove and hopefully will prevent a possible theft.
