I bought this for my boat stereo so I could use my Ipod or DVD Player through my boat speakers. It works very well but the one thing I didn't realize is it only goes through the speakers it doesn't use the stereo at all for volume, fade or balance. So, you can only plug it into either the front speakers or the back speakers, one at a time. Not a big problem, I bought another one. One for the music through the back speakers and one for the dvd player for the front speakers.
