Nice product but when attempting to install it I found that it was bulkier than it needs to be. The previous one I had with the original radio fit like a glove . This is an issue because it is mounted in the console of my boat in a compartment with not a lot of room to spare.
I had to return it.When I ordered it I could not find the dimensions at the site of my online purchase.

Product gave me a mounting option that worked out awesome. Otherwise I would have had to mount the stereo in the dash and cut a large hole in dash. I mounted on top of dash and kept the dash looking stock.

Yes, it can be mounted upside down. This unit has a reversible gimble mount. The gimbal housing bracket can be mounted to any flat surface or it can alsobe suspended.
