I ordered 2 of the screw type clamps for my pontoon. The metal is very soft ( aluminum ) and porous, not the same quality as the lantern holders. I had to cut some rubber cushions to use so they would not scratch up my boat rails. Other than these items , the clamps do well.

the clamp-on driftmaster rod holder base is just what the doctor ordered. I own a 14ft boat with a round top rail. these clamps let me move my rod holders anywhere in the boat.you can also change the angle of your rod to the water . they hold well when big fish strike, I've caught 30 pounders with no problem.

Work great. Removable so saves having to drill a bunch of holes in your boat.
