I purchased the Drake waterfowl system est, for my daughter. At the end of duck season in a small from Bass pro store. I liked it so much I had to order mine on line. I got to use it in tropical storm Beryl when over 7 inches or rain was dropped in a short time.
I can hardly wait for duck season.

I just got this jacket and I'm so impressed with the design!! The material seems very durable yet quiet. The fit is perfect. I love the hood system, the neoprene cuffs, the magnetic and elastic call pockets!!
I can't comment on how windproof and water proof it is compared to Gore-tex, but I can say it is very well made, and designed and the fit is perfect!. I guess if I had one wish, it'd be that they added from shell pockets with magnetic hold open flaps.

Used it on a recent early goose hunt in upstate New York. First morning, temp was 41', frost on the ground. I was warm & comfortable with a sweatshirt underneath. By mid morning it was about 55', light wind blowing across an open field. I took off the sweatshirt and stayed very comfortable. Second morning temp was 55', raining hard with strong east wind off Lake Champlain. Wore a sweatshirt underneath, jacket kept me dry and comfortable. Setting-up the blinds was hot work so I opened the vents on the jacket after getting in the layout blind and immediately cooled down. Jacket is waterproof and wind resistant; light, comfortable and quiet. The hood and snap collar provide good protection against blowing rain.

There are 4 pockets on the front of the jacket. two large zippered hand pockets and two chest pockets. One is magnetic for your calls and the other is zippered. there is also an elastic loop below the left collar for a single call. No inside pockets. Jacket bottom has elastic draw cord to seal out cold.
The heat escape feature is a zip open elastic fabric under each armpit extending up the inside arm to just below the elbow and midway down the torso. It does an excellent job of cooling one down quickly. I find it works well with layered clothing for central California winter temps. typically high 30's to 60f
