Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Release Been using these for 15 years on lake Michigan for salmon. Best release I have on my boat. February 12, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid Product Very solid construction and the price is not bad either. Use almost every weekend trolling. May 26, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by YELLOW BIRD MODIFICATION We switched to these downrigger releases on our 6 Yellow Bird planers after the original releases were causing false trips in 1-2 ft. waves on the south end of Lake Michigan. We also use these for our downrigger releases. May 23, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best stacker I've used. I've been through at least 4 different brands of releases and stackers. This is by far the best one I've used: More reliable, longest lasting, and best design of any. Its the fastest and easiest one to set as well, which to me is very important. August 7, 2008

Stacker Release

Details:
I'm new to downriggers and have never heard of the stacker style releases to fish 2 different lines off of one downrigger. Can anyone provide any insight as to how well this works? Thanks.

A:
The single stacker simply clips on to the down-rig weight and the other end to the fishing line. The double stacker clips directly to the down-rig line. Make sure the swivel clip is clipped on above where the stacker is clipped so it will hold the depth you want. Take the other end of the stacker and clip to the fishing line. Very easy to use.

I guess you could use the double stacker and clip it to the down-rig weight and fish two lines. I however use a double clip per line fished so the lines do not get tangled.
