I bought two Down East Rod Holders at first and loved the ease of getting the fishing rod out of the holder compaired to the plastic ones I have. I liked them so much that I bought two more for the boat.

I rarely write product reviews but in this case I am overwhelmed with the excellence of this product . Outstanding construction. An ease to mount and use. The price for an all metal holder can not be beat.

These rod holders are great for fresh water as they
work well, are easy to install and you can take them off
when your using your boat for other activities.....

I've used the Down East rod holders for over 40 years on the Oregon coast, in salt water and coastal streams. I have them on my ocean boat, drift boat, and pontoon boat and have NEVER had one break or cause a problem. Absolutely the easiest to use and totally reliable.
