Waiting for fall fishing and more top water action. Next reel to buy is lighter WaveSpin reel that has high reviews as well for several small urban lakes here. August 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by best drag system I have been using DH4000Z, DH3000Z and DHXL for over a year now. I fish 3 times a week Salt and fresh water. I will tell you there is no better drag system on the market. As with all reels a little clean up after fishing salt water is all you need. I own 2 4000z, 1 3000z and 9 DHXL 's. I fish Big Florida Bass, Snook, Reds, Sea Trout, Cobia and Shark. I plan on getting 3 more 3000z as this is a great size reel for inshore fishing. No tangle problem for me, I use a braided line mostly. One thing if you want the best cast you need to fill your spool to the bottom of the wave. Watch the video it helps also has some great Doug Hannon footage at the end. These reels are so easy to use all my kids and friends love them. Now they need to get there own. Rated 1 out of 5 by Biggest waist of 90 bucks! Poor quality in parts and engineering the bail wire hits the drag knob when spool is at full stroke. The claim it's tangle free is false I was getting loops all day long, and casts much shorter than my Shimano Stradic. Taking back to BP. August 5, 2012
