Rated 5 out of 5 by qhorsegal easy to use My trainer recomended this e-collar. I did have her set the initial minimum setting for my dog. The setting is easy to quickly adjust as needed { when the dog is not paying attention to low setting nicks}. My only minor issue is that there is not a full charge indicator when charging is complete. Aside from that, this is a very usefull tool for training. November 12, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flintlock1776 Trains dogs FAST! We obtained a young Plott Hound from the local dog rescue. This poor puppy had a very tough 1st year of life. I won't go into the sad details but when we met him at the rescue there was just something about the dog we liked. Once he settled into the home he was fine but still wild. We could not get him to fully settle down and the opinion was perhaps we needed to return him to the rescue folks. A friend told me about these training collars vs. just a bark collar. He was so strong he could pull you to the ground if you were holding his leash and he saw a deer or rabbit that he wanted to chase. He also was a 'nipper'. We put this collar on him and the first time he acted up and got 'zapped', he was surprised! Two more issues; two more 'zaps' and he started to understand what "NO" meant. This collar is very handy in that you can select the level of zap. We only used 1/2 power. It also has a feature to vibrate in lieu of the electric shock. That alone can calm him down without giving him the electric zap. I like the fact this device has a 1/2 mile range as this dog could easily run a distance quickly. We are less stressed; the dog behaves and he with be with us for many years! An expensive device but he learned to behave in just one day! It was a good purchase! Just trim the collar length for your dog as they give you ample length to fit may dogs. Strong hard plastic carry case to store the manual and the recharger. February 11, 2012
