Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product for DO-IT selfers.... A great product for those that like to spend those winter months preparing for next seasons fishing. The mold has large funnels that allow the lead to pour smoothly and evenly for more perfect heads. I have poured more than 500 hundred and I have yet to have a misfigured head. <:))))>< November 17, 2008

I think it would be best to go with a smaller hook for the lighter jig heads.

A:
It is possible to use the larger hooks in the mold. They do not fit in all of the cavities but it does in some and you can modify the others. I recommend going with the recommended hook sizes so that the jig can function as intended. If you use a 5/0 hook in a 1/4oz cavity the hook can overpower the head and it will not function as it should- the hook will cause it to fall over on it's side instead of stand up.
