have been making my own jigs for years. i really like shaky head fishing, so i decided to make some. plus, i like the lighter jigs, and 1/16 oz. are hard to find. this works pretty well, although the 1/16's are hard to get a complete pour on. just make sure the mold and the lead is hot (i pour a few blanks and let them sit in the mold to get it hot, meanwhile the lead gets hotter, too). get yourself some jig paint and create your own secret weapons! great for keeping busy in the off-season.

Will this mold accommodate the Gamakatsu 614 - 60 degree hook? The 614 appears to be the same hook style and size as the Mustad® 60° 32798BLN which this mold does accommodate.Answers
A:Â
No, the 614 is not a flat eye hook. When you lay the hook flat the eye is also flat. when you lay the 32798BLN Mustad Hook eye flat the hook stands up, if that makes sense. You will have to modify the eyelet cavity using a dremel tool to allow the 614 Gainakatsu hook to fit the mold. Just drill out the eyelet cavity on both sides of the mold to make the eye cavity wider, not to damage the main jig body cavity. Then it will fit. But, Do-it makes the same mold that the Gaainakatsu hooks will fit. And they are also coming out with a mold soon that is made for the TK807 Trokar 60deg. Flat eye.A:Â

Does this mold work with the Gamakatsu 614 (60 degree shaky head). The dimensions look almost identical to the Mustad® 60° 32798BLNAnswers
