Over all I love it. The only issue I had was getting the mold to temp and keeping it there. That proves to be a bit difficult when working with an open fire!

you have to heat up the mold for your weights to pour completely and with such short handles the mold gets extreemly hot to hold. when you purchase one of these i sugest you change the handles to longer style it will help save your hands and you can pure more weights

It is a great way to save money. I used this the first and all my sinkers came out nice and clean. Did a little cleaning on the edges but that is normal and not to hard to do. Very nice.

we have made several sinker weights usiing this mold. We have several friends who have purchased weights of this size at the store. We have already gotten our money back just by making our own weights as apposed to buying them in the stores. Thank you

A:
Yes but the easiest is a fish cooker and cast iron pot to melt lead if you plan on making a large number of weights. If you are just making a few you can get a smelting pot from bass pro that is electric but doesnt hold as much leadA:
NO, You can get lead from auto shops but you have to rremeber that the lead used there is mixed with other metles. You just have to take your time and keep you lead nice and hot.A:
youll only need to be accurate with your hand to put the lead into the mold!Top 250 Contributor

You will need a melting pot and gloves and some eye protection..and i reccomend a resperator...And on the melting pot if it is not a bottom pour you will need a laddle.and a propane torch to heat up your molds is a must...Dont put any ting that is cold in contact with lead!!!!!!!!!!1 of 1
