I'm thinking those who didn't get this thing to move must have missed. It rocked back 90 degrees from vertical with every hit from a .38 WC. So, I tried .22 solid point round nose shorts from a 4" revolver and I got it to rock a little with every hit.
My main concern with the target is that the wadcutters seem to do a bit of damage and the plastic didn't totally close on the hole they made. A round nose would do less damage. Hit this thing with a decent rifle and it should flip the target just judging by what 200 ft lbs does, though the bullet would probably zing through the plastic pretty clean. I haven't shot it with a rifle, yet. But, I'm satisfied with it as a pistol target, which is what I really wanted for 30-50 yard off hand shooting. It's cheap enough to replace when I need to. Hopefully it'll last a while, though.

I bought this target for longer range shooting as I thought it would help know when you hit the target. 200 yard shots with the 308 and it did not move. Holes heal so well you cant see them with the scope either. If you want to shoot something that will let you know from a distance that you hit it, this ain't it.

This target is a huge waste of money. I shot it at several distances with 5.56, .45 ACP, .40 S&W and 9mm. the target does reseal, but it doesn't swing at all. With the hand gun rounds, it wobbled just a bit and with the 5.56. the only movement was when I obliterated the target stand. I ended up throwing it in the trash at the end of the range day. I was hoping this would be a cheap alternative to getting some steel targets. Guess that's what I get for trying to be cheap!

Good for 7.62x39 and .22. Did not have counter weight, hung down from bar. Although it is too heavy to swing when you hit the target it does seal very well. Next time i go out thinking about adding something to back to try to get a reaction when hit. Note: the smaller ones from same manufacturer do swing very well. Would buy both in future.

Has anyone used this with a pistol? What caliber? What distance? Did it spin? Read the 2 reviews that it didn't spin, but only one of the reviews indicated what was fired and at what range. I'd like to shoot a .45 ACP round from my 1911 or .40 S&W from my Glock at about 10 yards and want to know if it would spin.
I shot at it from 200 yards with a 308 and it did not even swing. The weight of it tells me if I hit it with my 45 from 10 yards it would move but not spin. If you are looking to spin something I would get one with an upper and lower target that counter-weight each other, more likely to spin.
My friend was shooing it with .45 and 5.7x28 at just over 10 yards. The .45 would swing it, but the 5.7 caused no reaction. The only time we got it to spin was when we hit the counter weight by accident.
