I heavily rely on customer reviews, so I try my best to write the most honest review I can. I bought this for my step son, as he has hundreds of ice fishing jigs. I also bought two for myself to paint some lead jig heads. I'm already on my fifth coat of fluorescent and I still see the lead as clear as day. I wondered if primer would have been a smart choice, but my son said he already had, and he's still having the same results. If you really plan to use a lot of paint, either spend the considerable price jump and powder coat, or run down to your local hobby shop and purchase some model paint. Sorry Bass Pro, but you need to take this off the shelf!

If you allow the paint ample time to dry, you won't find that it rubs off. However fish after toothy fish you will find that it chips. If you are targeting toothy, aggressive fish like me, trying using PRO-TEC Powder Paints! No mess and almost chip proof!A:Â
no ,but chips easilyAnswers

Yes but it is not as durable as other paints.A:Â
This stuff is quite translucent. Has a few bad reviews.Instead, for any lure, including spoons, I would go to the 99 cent store and pick up some ladies nail polish... Same effect, easier application, same overall cost effectiveness.
