i bought this bc its alot cheaper to order jigs un-painted and paint yourself! you dont have to worrie about mixing the paint its ready to go!! i put a base (white) coat on first and then apply the color you want some may take 2 coats... and ive found that the orange and chart. green look better without a base coat! ive been using this paint for the last two years on my crappie jigs and it wrks great although i might upgrade to the real paint this year! lol

Some of my paint samples were dried out when I got them! I liked the few that I did use, but still messy. At the end of the day I will stick with Pro-Tec Powder Paints.

The paint is not something I would recommend if you are going to use it as a base. You are better off using this paint on top of something like a powder coat or Component Systems paint for details. As a base, it just sinks into wood and keeps on going. It is also a bit weaker than other paints I have used in the past.

If you allow the paint ample time to dry, you won't find that it rubs off. However fish after toothy fish you will find that it chips. If you are targeting toothy, aggressive fish like me, trying using PRO-TEC Powder Paints! No mess and almost chip proof!
