Rated 4 out of 5 by It is what it is For 40 bucks this is a decent thrower. I had it unboxed and assembled in less than 15min. I've only put ~100 clays through this thing but so far so good. My only advice is, mount it to something...and make sure that the something is HEAVY. This thrower is light and kinda flimsy. I mounted mine to a stationary shooting bench I have and that has been working well. If you do mount it to a tire, get a good 18" steel rim and old snow tire...something heavy. Again, for 40 bucks you pretty much can't go wrong. July 20, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by not worth it its a cheap thrower it can help you knoch off some rust on your shooting skills but your not going to get 50 plus yard shots going straight out if you tighten the spring up too much it will brake the clays February 10, 2009
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not worth It I would save your money for one of the better throwers. This one was constantly breaking clays and the mounting of the stakes in the ground was not very stable. December 29, 2008
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid purchase A good investment of $30. Works great for before/after work shooting. Obviously not as good as the high dollar throwers, but provides an afternoon of quality shooting. April 3, 2008

Answer this Question

Is your boyfriend a serious trap shooter? I ask simply because for a recreational shooter (ie: a couple saturdays a month for a few hours) this thrower would be ok. but if he is a serious trap shooter he wont get the performance he is lookig for out of this particular thrower. But then again, its not designed for that anyway. Its a budget thrower. But for a novice, casual or just starting out shooter this would be ok. Its a decent price for what you get.
