I was not pleased with this knife. After reading reviews i wrongly believed it would be a good blade. this knife was dull out of the package. It sharpened up easlily enough, but will not hold an edge for long. It is now the knife i use to chop up chum, not filet fish

This is by far one of the best knives that I have ever owned. Everyone knows that dexter russell makes great,quality products and this knife is no exception. It is excellent. It has a comfortable feel,and a razor sharp blade. If you can't fillet your fish like a pro with this knife,you should start paying someone to do it. It doesn't get any better than this.
