Hand selected by experts to ensure high-quality and ease of spinning, this Deer Body Hair is served on a soft, tanned hide and dyed over its natural hair color to create excellent hatch-matching colors. Deer Body Hair is a coarse, hollow material that flares well, floats high and always offers a nice drift. Essential ingredient for a number dry fly patterns.

Rated 4 out of 5 by deer spinning Well although this deer hair needs a good cleaning with you comb after cleaning it does well spins on nicely and makes for good tails I like it I got it in three colors natural olive and black and think they are just fine only real issue is it is a bit small of a patch February 11, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good product The deer body hair is of a very good quality with many color choices. It spins well, holds its shape, and always available. I must say that after contacting BP, the patches of hair should measure 3" x 3"...but they do not always. I usually by mine in one of their stores so I can look it over and it just happens to be the way they are cut. I recommend you do this too. Still, it is a good value and ties great flies. The length is about three and width is about two but the length of the actual hair is good for pretty much all fly you would tie

I had contacted BP directly and they told me the patch is supposed to be 3" x 3". The patches are not always that size, though. You can check my review for deer hair for a complete explanation.
