this is a nice piece of equi. the only problem i have is the time is'nt always right and the zoom gets real fuzzy when you zoom in a long way.

The Day 6 Outdoors PlotWatcher is far superior to a trail cam. The area covered is large and the video is clear. However, the graphics leave something to be desired as the deer or other animals jump in and out of the video in less than a second. When this happens, it is difficult to back-up and stop the film to zero in on the animal.

Awsome camera easy to use, the only drawback is when you go to zoom in on object it gets fuzy. Great pics within 40 yds after that it starts getting fuzy. GREAT CAMERA cann't wait to use it durring rut

I Love the new Time-Lapse camera and would tell everyone to get one > It is the best way to see everything that goes on around your hunting area. You can zoom through the intire day and get to the good parts when the deer are present. The only thing I don't like about the camera > Is the time setting. you have to set the clock in the memory stick to the time you will be puting the stick in the cam > other wise it will not be right. So if you change out the battery in the field and don't have your computer with you > you lose the correct time.And It's tough on battery life> I can not get more than 2 days out of my camera { even if I set it to skip the mid-day activity.} I still use my other cams to get night shots

Day 6 strongly recommend the SanDisk Cruzer 4GB or 8GB USB drive. 16GB Cruzers will work in the PlotWatcher, but they may need to be formatted before they will operate properly. To format a USB drive, insert it into the computer, right click on the drive where the USB is inserted and select “Format.” (Note: The User Guide states that only 4 and 8 GB drives can be used and that was the case when the User Guide was printed. However, with improvements to the firmware, the 16GB Cruzer will now work in the PlotWatcher.)A:

It depends on your settings. I use 30 second intervals with a midday break and I left the camera for 6 days with a midday break of 4 hours and it was still running when I collected it. I am not sure how long it would last with a shorter interval between pictures.Q:

It uses a USB memory stick commonly used with computers. Buy two memory sticks so you can just swap out to review footage.A:
You can take out a second flashdrive to replace the one previously used. The downside is that you have to setup the new flashdrive on your PC at home. If you do not place the flashdrive into the camera directly after it is setup, the time will not be correct. The company has set up the software so you can predict when you will get the new flashdrive into the camera, preset the time during setup, take the flashdrive out into the field and hopepfully insert the flashdrive at the time you predicted. Otherwise the time will not be correct.A:
