The Flymaster Plus fly tying thread is a twisted nylon material made very strong, durable and abrasion resistant. Flymaster Plus is somewhat larger in diameter and is great for heavy hair work on larger flies. Offered in some more subtle colors that are not available in Flat Waxed Nylon Thread. 210 Denier.

I am an avid Striper and Wiper fisherman, and throughout the year I go through a lot of bucktail jigs. I started tying them myself about three years ago, and the only thread I use is Danville Fly Master Plus. I have tried many other threads for this purpose and none of them seem to hold up as well as this one does. I really like to wrench down on the neck of my jigs to keep the hair in place as best I can. I have only had this thread break during tying a few times due to twist, other then that it is strong and the color holds and does not bleed.

I bought this product at my local bass pro, expecting it to be strong enough for me to tie a fly without the thread breaking, forcing me to restart. While it was stronger than my old thread, it still broke about 3 times while tying one fly.
