Danner Pronghorn 400 Gram GORE-TEX Insulated Hunting Boots for Men
Great all around hunting boot
Bought these boots for my first Colorado 2nd rifle season hunt. We got caught in 2 crazy snow storms 2 rain storms with hunting and training days ranging in temperatures from 18* to 80*. I was comfortable all around. The only time my feet started to get cold was in the 20's and had been walking in snow all day(did where layered socks), and only got wet a little when we were hiking in rainy and muddy conditions all day. I put them to the extremes and they worked great. If you plan on being in all day wet and calf high water you should be in a different boot anyways. For colder winter hunts I am going to buy the 800 or 1200 grain up half size for bigger layered socks. But that's all part of knowing your conditions and equipment. Loved the boots and will be buying a second pair.

I tried these boots and they leak water. They were replaced with a new pair and also leak water. The boots are starting to fall apart with minimal use. I would not reccomend unless you like wet feet.

Fixin to buy my 3rd Pair
I hunt, fish and work outside. Comercial construction superintendant. I have had 2 pair of Pronghorn boots and was very happy with both pair. Got at least 1 year water proof wear and then another year dry weather wear out of both pair.
I'm 52 years old and live in boots, I know the value of good boots and dry feet.

These boots are a very good choice for anyone dealing with 20-50 degree temperatures. I usually wear an 11, so I ordered 11.5's and there's still plenty of room for boot socks, etc. Very comfortable. May not be a good choice for winter temperatures, but that is to be expected with only 400g of Insulation
