they do not adjust up and down, you put together the pieces so you have very limited adjustments.
I like my old poles better with them you could set the proper height.

While listed as adjustable from 12 to 54 inches, you should know that it only adjusts in 8 inch increments by adding sections to the shaft. It has a wide base and a dome top but it is so light weight that it still tips over easily with unequal pressure on one side versus the other….like when you are putting the boat cover on. If you are looking for minor support with a short length, it is a satisfactory and inexpensive option. But if you need a longer length, good support and completely variable adjustment length, I go with item number 38-532-876-00. I have both of them.

i would not use them when traveling. They tip easily.A:Â
they tip when they are standing still No they would not hold up to travelA:Â
They don't work well when parked in my drive way. Any wind that comes causes the stand to fall over under the cover. ALL of the posts that came with the stand were ALL warped, some worst than others. This stand isn't worth anything if it can't even stay standingA:Â
no, they don't make it thru 5 mph winds. Poorly made, tubes split right away. Plastic tubes way to thin.Answers
