Daiwa Spinmatic-C Ultralight Travel Pack Rod
Great Ultralight Pack Rod
I had an ultralight pack rod (quantum micro 4-piece with case) and the rod fell victim to the car door, so I was looking for something to replace it that would also fit in the quantum case.
Not only did this rod fit, but it's simply a nicer rod with a decent cork handle and better quality blank material for better touch and feel.
I keep this rod in my vehicle and use it more than any other rod I own.

Seriously great UL spinning rod. I picked one of these up to get back into using conventional gear, and I love it. The rod has great feel and decent backbone (for an ultralight).
I throw small jigs, small jerk baits and smaller crankbaits (flicker shad & rebel wee craws) on it all the time. Paired up with 4lb Berkely Trilene line, it casts great distance, and the 6‘ model rod is very accurate.
For sure would recommend this for a trout and panfish rod.

I bought the 7 ft model. I have fished this rod several times now and love it. I fish 2 lb test and a Pflueger President Micro Reel. I have caught sunfish, rock bass, largemouths and rainbow trout with this set up. It has enough length to cast a reasonable distance, and a soft tip section to protect fine line and leader. It also has enough backbone to move larger fish. If it had a better, more protective case and alignment dots, I would have given it a 5 star rating. But I would still buy another in a heartbeat, because the things I'm pointing out as shortcomings DO NOT detract from the fine performance of the rod itself, and I would highly recommend this rod to anyone, especially if you travel and fish.
