Rated 5 out of 5 excellent reel great quality reel, drag is smooth as silk, retrieve is lightning fast, fit and finish is top notch. Daiwa builds great reels, makes me wish all of my shimano's were Daiwa's December 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Beast I own the 40 size for surfcasting to shark and tarpon. It casts fantastic, the drag is great, and a ton of line capacity when using braid. Handles and casts braid with ease. September 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome reel !!! Very nice reel. Got the bg50. Nice power, speed, and smooth drag. It casts pretty good as well. I've only been out with it a few times and I've already landed a chunky grouper, snappers, and a 6 foot shark. It can turn a fish at your will and retreive like lightening. The build seems very tough and hardy. We'll see how it holds up over time, but so far it's holding up like a dream. August 3, 2011
