Daiwa®'s new Lexa® spinning rods are a perfect combination of lightness, sensitivity, and durability, all at a great mid-level price range. They start with a 30-ton, IM7 Micro-Pitch graphite blank, then top it with Minima zirconium guides and a Fuji® VSS reel seat. A woven carbon/stainless steel nut locks your reel in place. It features an underslung hook keeper that won't tangle your line, split EVA foam grip, and a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.

Excellent Rod The Daiwa Lexa in an amazing rod. Perfect balance, light weight, great action. I've seen rods from other manufacturers that cost nearly double that I didn't like half as much. I highly recommend this rod to anyone. December 17, 2014
Breakage These rods as well as most other graphite rods break very easily. This rod broke near the tip pulling a 2 lb bass out of the water after just owning it for 1 month. Also the reel seat tightener grooved grip area broke the first day from applying normal screw down pressure. Upon it breaking, I noticed this piece was simply just glued on by the manufacturer. Also the advertised Medium Light is more like Medium Heavy. July 4, 2014
Excellent finesse rod I have the 7'2" medium light version and am very impressed with its quality. Thanks to the high modulus blank and Minima guides, this rod is incredibly sensitive so you can feel the delicate bite of a bass swallowing a split shot or drop shot presented worm and the speed to help you quickly and effectively set the hook. Once hooked, it has the backbone to fight and haul in big lunker bass. It also works great with crank baits and inline spinners. I've caught bream of all sizes as well. It is lightweight and balanced, yet durable and can be fished for hours without fatigue. It is definitely an all around great rod, but an absolute must for finesse presentations. I'll be getting the medium heavy version for throwing heavier baits into heavier cover and I'm sure they'll be the last bass rods I need for many years to come. May 10, 2014
