The highly versatile Daiwa Lexa Inshore Baitcast Reel is perfect for striper, redfish, inshore and light offshore gamefish. Daiwa's outstanding baitcaster comes with a power grip handle and a smooth Ultimate Tournament carbon drag that can stop a train! A silky smooth 7-bearing system is comprised of 4 ball bearings + 2 corrosion-resistant ball bearings + 1 roller bearing. The Lexa's advanced design allows for a large line-capacity reel with a very stout drag—in the size and feel of a much smaller reel. Other features include an aluminum sideplate, infinite anti-reverse, and a precision balanced, free-floating aluminum spool. A rugged, six-point drive train system assures positive, "no-hassle" operation.
Rated 3 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Alittle underwhelmed When I first received this reel, the first thing I noticed was the power handle was installed improperly. It was wobbling quite badly. Only had to remove and re-install it correctly to fix the problem but that should not be unnecessary. There is also a small rubbing sound every time the spool makes a full rotation when retrieving. This may have something to do with the backlash problem the reel has with lighter baits, no matter where the brake and cast control is set. On a note unrelated to the reel, its took a total of 13 days to ship the reel from Missouri to California. This was probably due to the fact that it took them 5 of those days to ship the reel out after payment. I'll be taking my business elsewhere next time. February 6, 2013
